Hey everyone!!! We had a GREAT Christmas with my family in Wisconsin. So many priceless things happened that we will never forget. Here’s a run down of our week long vacation: We played in the snow, celebrated Christ’s birth, ate WAY too much, captured my sister getting proposed to, laughed (no one gets Emily to laugh like her family), had great talks (Emily’s dad is a counselor, what more needs to be said?), we did my sister’s engagement shoot in 12 degrees F! Yup, that’s cold and my Canadian hubby loved it!
During our down time, the family got acquainted with our growing baby boy with lots of touching of the belly. I love being pregnant! 
So now, it is the year 2010!!! OH my gosh! As Brett and I prepared to toast into the New Year last night, we realized that this was the last New Years that we would bring in without kids. Really crazy thought, but joyful at the same time.
We are truly so blessed. So much has happened in this year that we will never forget . We have had an amazing year with awesome clients, great shoots, great locations, great memories and the honor of capturing your love stories. Thank you to all of you who have made our year so precious to us. We hope to see more of you in the New Year, but more importantly we wish you a year of blessings, amazing experiences and much love.

Today is one of my favorite Monday’s of the year! It’s the Monday before Christmas! There are so many emotions floating around right now. There is the excitement of the holiday season. There is the anticipation quality time with family in Wisconsin. Not to mention the uneasy feeling of not knowing if our baggage will arrive with us! There is so much to do and so little time before we spend some quality time with Delta airlines. Thank you Delta for forcing us to spend so much time talking and bonding (ok, Brett will spend some time sleeping) as you take us to Milwaukee via Atlanta! Seriously – don’t ever re-route us again! Seriously, Atlanta is not even remotely along the way. I digress…
I wanted to share with you one last post before Christmas. Many of you know that Brett holds down a day job at the University of San Diego and I’ve always wanted to do a photo shoot there. Thanks to Saifa and Linda, we got that chance a couple of weeks ago under an ominous cloud of ‘almost’ rain.. We are looking forward to photographing their wedding day in May. But until then, we hope to see you guys at the donut shop and maybe out mountain biking – ok, I’ll leave that last part to Brett and Saifa.

I think I have mentioned this before, but a part from photographing Engagement sessions and Weddings, Maternity shoots are definitely one of my favorites. It is just such an exciting time in a couple’s life whether it is the first, second, third or fourth baby- the mother is always glowing with beauty and the father is beaming with pride. It is such a pleasure for me to capture these moments for them to look back upon. Brett and I are getting excited about our own Maternity session and look forward to sharing those with you when the time comes, but for today it is all about Mark and Cherisse and the anticipation for their little boy to arrive anytime in the next 4 weeks!!! Mark and Cherisse are dear friends of ours which always makes for an even more fun shoot. It has been so fun for Cherisse and I to be pregnant together and both with little boys, so this was truly a treat for me to do their shoot.

Ok, with the next pictures, I am sure it is not hard to figure out that Mark is a die-hard Patriots fan and well… soon baby boy will be too.
Happy Monday internetland. Today is the day the countdown begins to get really exciting for me. That’s right – Christmas is only 11 days away! I’m so excited!! Cold weather in Wisconsin, hopefully some snow, cooking the Christmas meal with my family and having my family see me pregnant and feel the baby move both for the very first time!!!
Ok, back to today being Monday. There is a fresh feeling in the air today now that all of the San Diego rain has stopped and the sun is shining again. We’re back to the routine of Brett leaving for his day job, working at the University of San Diego, and our dog Teryx curling up at my feet while I settle in to edit recent photos of some amazing people! Jeff and Hannah are one such couple. They met while working at BJ’s and it was love at first sight. Isn’t that sweet??? They are getting married in May and their wedding is going to be to DIE for!!! We really enjoyed spending some time with them in Pasadena. Pasadena holds a dear place in our hearts – yup, that is where Brett and I met and the sparks started to fly!
So here is to Pasadena, Love, and Jeff and Hannah…
