But today we are sharing with you a wedding that we have been anticipating with excitement ever since Saifa and Linda booked us last year. You might remember their engagement shoot from USD that we captured on what seemed to be one of the coldest days of the year.  From that engagement shoot is was completely clear to us why these two are together. They compliment each other in every way possible and you can just tell that they know how to have fun together.

Linda did a fantastic job making this wedding happen. So much thought and planning went into every detail for what turned out to be a very large wedding. Her efforts paid off so that on the day of she could quit her job as coordinator and assume the job of a Bride and what a stunning bride she was! It was a great day complete with a Chinese tea ceremony in the morning, a traditional ceremony in the afternoon and a full blown reception in the evening. I, Emily, even learned to say 1-2-3 in Chinese! Oh, and another treat of the day – the fabulous photography duo Daniel and Cindy Lowe from Orange Turtle were in attendance at the wedding so we snagged a seat with them at their table during the reception, which made it all the more fun!

We had a great time Saifa and Linda and it was such a blessing to be a part of your family and traditions for a day. Thank you so much and please keep in touch!

Ok – moving on to today’s feature!  While Brett first met with Kenny and Janelle at the beautiful Estancia La Jolla where they are getting married next May, I was at home recovering from the surgery. I was so thrilled to finally meet them for their engagement shoot.  All I can say is – you two make me laugh!!!  I know I’ve said this many times before, but we had so much fun with these two!  (We can’t help it – we have AMAZING clients!!!!)  With all of their laughing and giggling during our engagement shoot it was hard to not join in – so of course we did! Add to their humor, charisma, charm, sweetness, genuine love, and good looks, Kenny and Janelle are a magnetic couple!

Janelle and Kenny – we are so excited to shoot your wedding and be a part of your lives. You make us happy. 

Another great thing about this couple – they have fun, they laugh together and yet they know how to strike a great pose too. Not to mention that they are darn right good looking!

Matt and Lauren – We are so excited for your wedding at the Prado. Thank you for a great time and for being willing to try some crazy ideas like climbing in a tree with high heels on.

Today I share with you Jeff and Hannah. These two met over pizookie’s – and have been together ever since. They both worked at BJ’s Restaurant and for those of you who are not familiar with BJ’s Restaurant, they are known for their freshly baked pan-sized chocolate chip cookies topped with slowly melting ice cream. They are yummy goodness! Ok, back to Jeff and Hannah -  We were happy to go back to Pasadena, CA (where Brett and I met) for this classy wedding. Jeff and Hannah come from very loving and beautiful families that just made this day so special. After the ceremony Jeff and Hannah took off in a classic Cadillac to drive from the gorgeously ornate  St. Andrews Catholic Church to the famous Los Angeles Union Station. The entire day was full of fabulous colors, unique details, and special moments.

Derek and Nicci – We “heart” you and are so happy that we got to spend an evening with you at the San Diego fair!

Clark and Brooke – You are adorable. Your giddy love is contagious. Your joy is inspiring. We are SO excited for your wedding!

We are so sorry for the blog silence, but since our excuse hasn’t changed we will skip through that part. There have been several rough patches in North’s first three months of life, not for him, but for his parents. But now, we are happy to report that we are healthy, North is healthy and growing strong and Wedding season is definitely upon us. We have had several amazing weddings take place since North was born (don’t you love how everything evolves around him now?) as well as many, many engagement shoots. All of these we would LOVE to post and will soon. To start things off, Simon and Ribecca get the stage today. They are a beautiful, soft-spoken yet very funny couple who are getting married in July. We took these pictures back in April. Yup, that is how far behind we are in posting (quicker turnaround time for clients of course!). But there is hope, right??? Anyways, we had a ton of fun with them at the Adobe Ranch house. For us, it was our first time shooting there and we LOVED all of the variety! The warm weather, the sunshine and the lovely hearts of these two special people made for an awesome shoot.
