Jason and Shelby – two of the most beautiful people you will ever meet. We did their engagement session in June and realized how extremely photogenic they were which of course made us even more stoked about their wedding in September. Little did I know that they both have impeccable taste in design and details. We quickly found that out when we arrived at their wedding day.
The day took place at Shelby’s grandparent’s cabin up in Northern California. The cottage was a perfect setting for a wedding covered with family and love. Everyone pitched in to make this day happen, but Heidi Marker from Event Designs by Heidi, was the one to pull it all together and it was a success! The palette of colors used for this wedding were some of the most beautiful I have seen yet – I AM biased to fall colors. We started with the portraits of the ladies, then the men. Prayer for both the Bride and the Groom took place next, very special moments in separate places covered by the same God. Then it was time…
Shelby was exquisite. Her J.Crew dress was the perfect dress for her character and grace. Her hair!! Oh, how I adored her hair! She came into view and Jason’s brother patted him on the shoulder as some tears started to flow. It was a special moment seen by all. They joined hands and after the vows, communion and the ring exchange, they shared one very long and very passionate kiss that was applauded by everyone. And they were married.
After that it was a whirlwind of photos with family and Bridal party and then our favorite part – the Bride and Groom portraits. We could have photographed this couple ALL day. It was so much fun and so special. To witness such love and adoration between two people and to be able to capture those intimate moments for them to cherish forever is seriously the most amazing and honoring job for us!
Then it was party time. The meal (tri-tip YUM!), the pie cutting (perfect!), the toasts (emotional and joyful), the dancing and the stars above made this the perfect closure to a perfect day.

Shelby actually started putting the ring on the wrong hand and made for a funny moment. This was captured when she found the right hand and the right finger to place the ring onto.
Our favorite part of the day – we could NOT get enough pictures of these two. They are gorgeous and know how to strike and hold a pose, but even better was the fact that they were so deeply in love and so happy to finally be married to one another – they made that very clear.
We loved all of the details of this wedding. They all flowed so well together.

The toasts were adorable and brought laughs and tears.
