Jake and Vanessa – The Wedding!

I posted a teaser a couple weeks ago and just have been so busy, but I am finally posting these pictures from Jake and Vanessa’s wedding. This wedding was a blast! Jake, Vanessa and friends definitely know how to throw a really fun party. The dance floor was packed. The Ceremony was on Sunset Cliffs at Luscomb Point. It was an amazing view, beautiful warm sunlight, light breeze… perfect. It had called for rain all weekend, but God parted the skies for this blessed event. Jake and Vanessa were so adorable. They were so excited, so full of love and laughter. Brett and I had an amazing time being a part of this celebration. Here are some of the key components to bringing this day together:

Wedding Coordinator: Melissa Barrad – She was absolutely amazing. Thanks to her the day flowed beautifully. It was the first time we had worked with her and I definitely hope it won’t be the last because she was a photographer’s dream.:)www.sdweddingplanner.com

Venue: Marina Village

Cake: Sweet Cheeks Bakery – I loved the cake and included a picture below. It was not your typical wedding cake, it was absolutely adorable! www.sweetcheeksbaking.com

Hair and Make-up: Sirens Salon and Day Spa

Caterer: Blue Agave – Um… amazing food!!! www.blueagaverestaurant.com

DJ: Music Phreek, Vynce Pham – He was excellent and totally kept the party rockin’ the entire time. www.musicphreek.com

Rentals: San Diego Party Rentals

Jake and Vanessa, thank you for allowing us to be a part of your celebration. We are so happy and excited for your new life together. Be blessed!

Vanessa was seriously stunning. She was radiant with joy, love and beauty.

I always LOVE to see the groom’s face when he sees his bride coming towards him for the first time that day. Tears of joy again…:)

An intimate moment captured right after the ceremony while we waited for the guests to clear out.img_9636-795-135-copyimg_9730-889-149img_9754-913-153bwimg_9803-962-163-copy2img_9945-1104-189-copy-copyimg_9851-1010-173-copyimg_0277-1435-259-copyimg_8586-2585-414

I have never seen a standing ovation for a Bride and Groom entrance before. It was so precious as the cheering just kept going. I must admit I got a little choked up but still managed to capture the moment.img_0328-1486-272img_0453-1608-294-copy

This was the mayhem on the dance floor.

Candace Pecaut - Emily,
I didn’t know it was possible, but you are getting better and better. You started out and incredible photographer and now you are…I don’t know…brilliant? whatever adjective describes that you extremely good at what you do! I’m so thankful we snuck in with you before you moved!
